What makes you so certain? I believe it, I don't want to believe that we're all dead but some people find it easier to believe that is what happened.

Dean, too. He died. This happened here in a dream. It's possible to dream what happens next in our lives. I haven't dreamt anything else because the Empty is nothing. It's darkness. It's black.

We think this is our second chance.

I died before coming here. But Harriet, she didn't -- she shouldn't have. ( wishful parental thinking or fact? ) Though it's easier for her to believe that we're all dead. Even if the dead had magically risen at home. That's how I died.

( zelda... how much of that do you think made sense? trying to give information without giving information is just confusing )

We may be alive again. I don't believe this is Hell. It's a powerful place that pull is here. Maybe it is this universe's Hell, but why are we brought here and not anywhere else. And why so many. Alive or dead

I don't believe it's Hell. I believe a god created this world, perhaps fashioned it around Earth mythology but why specifically Earth? It's likely that same god that was able to create how we were brought here but spanning the multiverse, dead souls as well as living?

Though for every question we ask more will create themselves. All I want is for my daughter to be back home, for everyone to be home. Not for the answers.

( if only because she doesn't think she'll get them. but she does think that they can get out without them. hopefully )

It is a burden and a blessing having family here. It's only natural to want better for her.

Penance does seem like God took a blueprint of what Hell might be like, but he changed the names to protect the innocent.

Protect the innocent and cast all of us as not innocent. Though by the definition of what is given on these lists anyone could potentially be brought here.

Has it always been the hotel that people have first arrived in?

We are all guilty of something. But, we do not all deserve any Hell.

Until we came to this island.

That at least tells us where the portal is, though with many different worlds our initial passage may arrive elsewhere before we're then exiting there.

Though if everyone so far has arrived in the hotel why has it now changed? Or are we not to be on this island for long?

It's changed because there is not much of a hotel left, nor supplies to nourish any new arrivals. If we're all here, it wouldn't prove fruitful to bring people anywhere else.

I don't know how long we'll be here.

The fact that they are trying to provide for our survival means that there's more of a goal to our presence here than solely torture.

Though I'm afraid I don't know the truth of what an angel can do.

That's never been under my purview. It's possible there are spells that could help.

Magicians are able to do that. But with a large area it would be useful if more were able to.

I assume that their method of casting is different to my own, being from a different world. But it would be interesting to see if we can still collaboratively cast.
